On behalf of the electorate of Canada
Whereas the United Nations maintains that;
“Promoting the rule of law at the national and international levels is at the heart of the United Nations’ mission.”
And that; “Establishing respect for the rule of law is fundamental to achieving a durable peace in the aftermath of conflict, to the effective protection of human rights, and to sustained economic progress and development.”
And that; “The principle that everyone – from the individual right up to the State itself – is accountable to laws that are publicly promulgated, equally enforced and independently adjudicated, is a fundamental concept which drives much of the United Nations work.”
And because; “The Organization includes judicial mechanisms, such as the International Court of Justice, the principal judicial organ of the United Nations, and the ad hoc criminal tribunals and hybrid tribunals.”
We, the undersigned people of Canada, by way of petition, hereby make request to The General Assembly of The United Nations and in particular to UN Deputy Secretary-General Asha-Rose Migiro, to investigate, arrive at consensus, and make any remedial recommendations and / or suggest punitive actions in the matter of the last Canadian Federal Elections which many Canadian citizens believe were tainted by suspicion of, and admission to, unethical and possibly illegal voter tampering activities allegedly carried out by the sitting Conservative Prime Minister, Stephen Harper’s campaign staff and allegedly by The Liberal Party of Canada.
It is our fervent hope that the UN will receive and consider this request, address the issues defined and draw the proper conclusions which we, as Canadians, are confident will restore Canada’s reputation to that of a model democracy to be proud of moving forward.
The Citizens of Canada.
